Remembering David M. Bailey

Just having a great time together...

It's a lot of fun for me to be working at the shop and see groups congregating around the loveseat for photos.  The women became friends in Michigan, and though lives change and they had moved around, they come together once a year to just enjoy each other's company.  This year was Charlottesville, and I had the pleasure of meeting them and taking their photograph. 

"Adding extra sunshine to the world" - how cool is that?

We celebrated my sister's upcoming wedding with a bachelorette party in Charlottesville this past Saturday. We all loved your "Seat of Harmony"- it's so beautiful and it's so wonderful that it's out on the mall for everyone to enjoy! My sister studied art at UVA's College at Wise and is a creative soul as well! She is pictured on the "Seat" by herself and then also in the group photo with her friends from school. Thanks for adding some extra sunshine to the world -

Our granddaughter Eliza was visiting us last week from Portsmouth, Va and we spent some time on Friday on the downtown mall doing some of her favorite things. We have often stopped to look at the wonderful bench, but didn't think it was okay to sit on it. This time we noticed the posting about the blog and decided that it would be fun to add our pictures to the site !  We love the bench ! It's a treat for the eyes when we visit the mall.
